PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The city Republican Committee will hold a forum next week on the state of Rhode Island's pension system.

It will be led by Gary Morse, former adviser to GOP gubernatorial candidate John Robitaille.

The forum, titled "Rhode Island's Rising Pension Tide," will take place at the Holy Rosary Band Society Hall, 157 Gano Street, on July 14, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The city GOP bills the event as a "nonpartisan forum" that is free and open to the public.

Morse was Robitaille's pension adviser during the 2010 campaign for governor.
