Rep. James R. Langevin has announced that Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts will be his guest for President Obama's speech about health care to a joint session of Congress Wednesday.
In a news release, Langevin stressed his resolve to keep working in the House this fall for passage of an overhaul of the medical system.
Roberts said that "effective health care reform will require changes by states as well as by Congress'' and that she wants to work with the state's congressional delegation "as we make these reforms a reality for all Rhode Islanders.''
