| RI Speaker Murphy talks cell-phone ban on Cianci show »
House Speaker William J. Murphy won't be talking politics inside the House chamber this week. After delaying a promised July session, however, Murphy has accepted an invitation to talk politics on the radio. Yes, arguably the General Assembly most powerful member will serve as a special co-host on WPRO's Buddy Cianci show Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. House spokesman Larry Berman told us this afternoon that Murphy is looking forward to the one-day special appearance. "Buddy Cianci asked him to be a co-host because Buddy's on vacation," Berman said. "He's been on the show as a guest, but never hosted." Berman reports that Murphy will not be paid for the appearance. "He's just replacing Buddy for the day," Berman said. |
