PROVIDENCE, RI -- The House of Representatives has cancelled today's afternoon floor session to give the House Finance Committee time to focus on the budget, which will be unveiled today at 1 p.m. "We don't know how late the Finance Committee will be held up," House Spokesman Larry Berman said by way of explanation. All items scheduled to be heard on the House floor today have been moved to Thursday's calendar. The Senate will hold its floor session Wednesday, as scheduled.
