Miami Mayor A. Manuel Diaz, left, and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino chat Friday as mayors, support staffers, vendors and lobbyists arrive for the first day of the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting. Their gathering, however, has been overshadowed by picketing firefighters involved in a contract dispute with conference host, Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline. Keep up with coverage of the mayors' meeting via the 7to7 newsblog.
Both cities with high crime rates and who cater to illegal immigrants and refuse to run back ground checks on those who are busted making ins or ice job a lot harder. so tell me how many other mayors are in this conference that support breaking federal laws? bravo all role models thats for sure all have issues with their own cities and most will not win reelection on their next term. what a bunch of losers all in the same room. you dont see pro jo print up their stats in their cities and how much they are loved.
