PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Capitol Police are investigating a break-in in the office of House Majority Leader Gordon D. Fox.

Sgt. Joseph Habershaw confirmed today that a break-in has been reported in Fox's third-floor State House office, although he could not provide any additional details.

Employees reported the incident when they arrived Monday morning. It's unclear if anything was taken. Film crews were in the State House over the weekend, although it's unclear whether authorities believe there is a connection.

House Spokesman Larry Berman could not immediately provide a comment.
