Operation Clean Government has produced two "State of the State" TV programs discussing voting problems in Rhode Island. The shows will be aired on local public access channels and can also be viewed on home computers.

In the first show, host Lawrence Valencia, who ran an unsuccessful primary campaign for the District 39 House seat, interviews Secretary of State Ralph Mollis on efforts to make it easier for citizens to vote. The issues include targeting the youth vote, registering new citizens and getting high school students interested in public service and early voting.

The second show, hosted by Bruce Lang, former chairman of Operation Clean Government, discusses eliminating party voting levers from ballots.

Guests interviewed include former State Sen. June Gibbs, former State Rep. Susan Story and State Rep. Brian Newberry, R-, former RI Representative; and State Rep. Brian Newberry, R-North Smithfield.

In addition to the broadcast schedule, the shows can be viewed through Operation Clean Government's web site by clicking on the "State of the State" page and selecting the desired program.

The broadcast schedule is:
Saturday, March 7 at 11 p.m. on Cox channel 13, Verizon channel 32, and Full Channel 9
Sunday, March 8 at 8 a.m. on Cox channel 13, Verizon channel 32, and Full Channel 9
