The House Finance Committee has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday on a bill to oversee the Carcieri administration's Medicaid plan. The bill, 5112, would require legislative approval for "any change that requires the Lawmakers were worried that the governor sought unprecedented authority to re-shape Medicaid programs that touch 180,000 Rhode Islanders, but had yet to detail most of the specifics. The Senate has introduced a similar bill that will be heard before its finance committee Wednesday at 3 p.m. |
