Former political adviser and CNN commentator David Gergen will visit Roger Williams University Thursday to speak about last week's election. Gergen, director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, is expected to share his post-election analysis and his views on how the 2008 race impacted the American political landscape. Thursday's talk is part of the University's Civil Discourse Lecture Series, which has also brought to campus such renowned speakers as Professor David Wilkins of Harvard Law School and Cecilia Marshall, widow of the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The Gergen event, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, is open to the public. It will be at the University's Recreation Center Gymnasium, 1 Old Ferry Road, Bristol.
