Looking for a place to watch tonight's vice presidential debate?

No matter what your political preference, you've got viewing options.

Democrats will gather at the Peerless Lofts building in downtown Providence to soak up the most anticipated vice presidential showdown in years.

The event, sponsored by an informal group known as the "young lawyers and young professionals for Obama," will double as a fundraiser for the Obama Victory Fund and that means it will cost you -- $100 for guests, $25 for students with ID.

Speakers include Harvard Law School Prof. Martha Minow, longtime Boston television news reporter Liz Walker of WBZ-TV, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m. with the speaking portion starting at 8:15 p.m. Location: 150 Union St., Providence The debate starts at 9 p.m.

Republicans too are gathering for a debate watching party.

The state GOP will host a viewing event at Two Forty Two, the restaurant on Federal Hill. State Republican Chairman Giovanni Cicione says the event is primary a social occasion though the party will accept donations.

Location: 242 Atwells Ave., Providence. Start time is anytime before 9 p.m.
