WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Rachael Bornstein, a longtime stalwart of Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy's staff, is moving downstairs in the Cannon House Office Building to run Rep. James R. Langevin's legislative shop.

"I am delighted that Rachael has decided to come lend her talents to the constituents of Rhode Island's Second Congressional District, after serving my colleague Patrick Kennedy for many years," Langevin said in a news release. "Rhode Islanders will benefit from her continued hard work and dedication, and my staff and I are looking forward to welcoming her to our team."

Bornstein, a Maryland native, was most recently Kennedy's senior health policy adviser, with duties including the effort to enact legislation to improve the insurance coverage of mental illness. She served on Kennedy's staff for seven years.

On Langevin's staff, she succeeds legislative director Brian Daniels, a Warwick native who is headed for Yale University to pursue a Master's of Business Administration. Daniels began his career on Capitol Hill with former Rhode Island Rep. Robert Weygand.
"Brian has been an integral and valued member of my staff since I came to Congress in 2000," said Langevin. "He has led the legislative staff with great wisdom and skill and has been one of my most trusted advisers for nearly eight years. I am grateful for his service to me and to the people of Rhode Island, and I wish him the best of luck as he begins this next chapter in his life."

Also departing Langevin's staff to pursue a law degree is Marla Greenberg, who has served for two years as a legislative assistant. A successor has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, another Kennedy staffer, press secretary Robin Costello, has made plans to leave the Congressman's staff. Her successor has likewise yet to be announced.
