| State still paying $2,000 a month for vacant D.C. office »
It's 4:40 p.m., and the House is still passing legislation this afternoon. After spending a few minutes on tributes for members who will be leaving the House, the legislators are back at work on bills. And they're moving fast. They're on No. 71 on the House calendar at the moment. The calendar as shown has a total of 98 items. But how long it will take to get through them, in what order and what might be changed or added -- well, it's up to them. But as House Speaker William Murphy just asked Majority Leader Gordon Fox, "Is the end near?" The action is live on Cox Cable Channel 15. CommentsLeave a comment |

Haven't these morons had since January to
get this done? Rhode Island, a multibillion dollar enterprize run by self promoting sleazebags. The state being almost 500 million in the hole, why is it that they can sudenly find 88 million for a new corthouse "so folks won't have to drive all the way to Providence" (ich they have been doing for 25 YEARS.) Why the sudden ontburst of caring for upstate.. does it have anything to do with jobs for friends and relatives?

Voters really need to replace some of the "leadership" and should remember where they stood on the issues. No copays for them, not even allowing discussion on E-verify, allowing criminals to wipe their records clean no matter how many times they've been convicted. Please, this is crazy.

Dick, think about it. What would happen if Southern Rhode Island were to secede from the union? It would leave "upstate" without a courthouse.
