| Debate watch: Clinton, Obama duel in Cleveland »
CRANSTON -- Several of the city’s most prominent politicians, including Mayor Michael T. Napolitano and state Sen. Beatrice A. Lanzi, are rallying around Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in advance of next week’s high-stakes presidential primary. “She has the experience and she’s served our country well,” said Napolitano, whose campaign committee poured $1,000 into the Clinton coffers last summer. But in a reflection of Sen. Barack Obama’s growing momentum nationwide, at least two endorsers -- City Council members Paula B. McFarland and Richard D. Santamaria Jr. -- said they are beginning to question their choice. McFarland said Rhode Islanders may be looking for a cleaner break from the past. And Santamaria said he was “troubled” by some of Clinton’s attacks on Obama in recent days. Both, however, pledged to stick with Clinton through next week. -- Journal staff writer David Scharfenberg CommentsLeave a comment |

Santamaria said he was troubled by the attacks that Hillary made against Obama, yet he still will stick by Hillary. This doesn't make much sense to me. You stick by someone you know is clearly wrong just because you are reluctant to jump ship? Get better informed about Barack and you'll begin to see that he is the better choice. A person's character says a lot about a person. Has Hillary's character been "up to par" and is she just riding the coattail of her husband? The proof is in the pudding baby!
