Your television will never be the same. At least until March 5.

The political advertising barrage for Democratic candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on Ocean State TV sets begins today.

The two frontrunners for their party's presidential candidate nomination will be on the primary ballot in Rhode Island on March 4, as well as several other states.

Two 30-second Clinton ads were launched today in Rhode Island asserting her "ability to tackle the economic challenges facing America and record of real results," according to her campaign.

The ad "Warned" pressed the theme that as president, Clinton would enact an economic plan "to freeze foreclosures, provide immediate tax rebates for the middle class and create new jobs to stimulate the local economy," her campaign says.

In “Lifetime,” the former First Lady and governor's wife stresses 35 years of experience in "delivering real change on issues of importance to America’s working families as a public servant, activist, and senator," the campaign says.

The Obama campaign announced today it airs its first ad tonight, the 30-second "Mother."

You'll hear Obama tell of how his mother died at 53 of cancer and how, "in those last, painful months, she was more worried about paying her medical bills than getting well," the script provided by the campaign says.

It continues: "I hear stories like hers everyday. For twenty years, Washington's talked about health care reform - and reformed nothing. I’ve got a plan to cut costs and cover everyone. But unless we stop the bickering and the lobbyists, we’ll be in the same place 20 years from now. I'm Barack Obama, and I approved this message because to fix health care, we have to fix Washington.”

"Mother" seeks to hit the theme of Obama's "personal investment" in making certain all Americans get affordable health insurance, the campaign says.

Tomorrow, a second ad titled "Choices" airs on TV for Obama. Several Obama ads will hit the radiowaves, too.

No new answers here this time! We need a third party that provides a real alternative to corporately vetted candidates of the Dems and Reps...power the people (not to entities called corporations)...our ballots should have an alternative space we can check that says, "other" and if 'other' gets say 33 percent, we get new candidates.
