PROVIDENCE -- Mayor David N. Cicilline's chief of staff is stepping down and will become the mayor's senior adviser. Christopher J. Bizzacco makes the move as he gets ready to pursue an advanced degree, according to a news release from the mayor's office. Chief of Operations Deborah Brayton has been appointed chief of staff. The mayor praised her "vast experience." Bizzacco was appointed chief of staff in May last year. He advised Cicilline on policy, planning and budget issues and worked with department directors on day-to-day running of City government. He managed Cicilline’s first mayoral campaign.
