Attention, all lobbyists: The secretary of state’s office invites you to attend a training session this week. Topics include registering online with the LobbyTracker system, financial reporting requirements, interacting with lawmakers, interacting with the media, and ethics. Mollis will hear and discuss suggestions on making changes to the current law.
There are three workshops to choose from: Wednesday from noon to 4 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All three take place in the auditorium of the Cannon Building -- where the Department of Health offices are situated -- on Smith Street across from the State House. Lobbyists can register by calling the secretary of state’s public information division at (401) 222-3983.
