Reeds await birth of their first child

Look for Sen. Jack Reed to have a merry Christmas. And not just because the Rhode Island Democrat is in the Senate majority now. Reed and his wife, Julia Hart Reed, are expecting their first child on Dec. 22. Reed, the state’s senior senator, and Hart were married April 16, 2005, at the Most Holy Trinity Church at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Reed’s alma mater.
