A stream of national money continues to flow into Rhode Island's U.S. Senate race.
Yesterday the National Republican Senatorial Committee spent $150,120 for "media placement" -- i.e., advertising -- opposing Democratic challenger Sheldon Whitehouse.
The filing indicates that the NRSC also spent $29,848 yesterday for "media production" -- i.e., making the ads -- opposing Whitehouse.
Whitehouse is challenging incumbent GOP U.S. Sen. Lincoln Chafee, in a high-profile race that is one of several nationwide that could tip the party balance in the Senate.
