If you haven’t overdosed on election news and commentary, political commentator David Gergen will offer post-election analysis in a talk Thursday at Roger Williams University.
Gergen was director of communications for President Reagan and a special adviser to President Clinton. He also worked for the Nixon and Ford administrations. He is director of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and the author of Eyewitness to Power:The Essence of leadership from Nixon to Clinton. He contributes to U.S. News & World Report as the publication’s editor-at-large.
His talk, titled “The Bush Second Term: Issues and Answers,” is part of the university’s Civil Discourse Distinguished Lecture Series. It begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Recreation Center Gymnasium, on the university’s Bristol campus. Admission is free for the university’s students, faculty and staff. A limited number of tickets are available to the general public, at a cost of $5, and can be purchased at the door or by calling (401) 254-3067.
