Cool Moose candidate for lieutenant governor Robert Healey is appealing to people to stop stealing his campaign signs.
"If stolen signs are any indication of success, then things look good," Healey said in a statement released yesterday. "Given the fact that we have a limited budget, we have utilized old campaign materials. While we have distributed at least 250 signs, they are being stolen at a pace that cannot be maintained."
"We are asking that all those people interested in 'Healey for lieutenant governor' signage to refrain from stealing them, at least until after the election."
Healey -- who's running on the platform that the state's No. 2 spot is unnecessary -- listed $131.70 in his campaign account as of Oct. 30.
