PROVIDENCE -- In a reminder that the Rhode Island's U.S. Senate race continues to draw national attention, New York's Sen. Charles Schumer is planning to attend a Sheldon Whitehouse fundraiser tomorrow afternoon in Providence.

The Whitehouse campaign says that Schumer -- who heads the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee -- will participate in a roundtable lunch discussion tomorrow afternoon "about the importance of electing a Democratic Senate that will protect a woman’s right to choose."

Schumer's appearance is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Big Fish restaurant, 370 Richmond St., Providence.
